Aunt Charlotte’s Brownies

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted
  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a 9×13 inch pan.

Beat eggs, then add sugar and beat until smooth. Add butter and chocolate, blend. Add sifted dry ingredients and vanilla. Place in prepared pan. Sprinkle chips on top.

Bake for 25 minutes.
